Bucks take on Usuthu at the Mthatha 'slaughterhouse'
10 September 2016

The action heats up this weekend as we lock horns with fourth-placed Usuthu in our second home match of the season, with both sides looking to maintain their 100 percent win record.

Mthatha Stadium is steadily turning into a fortress with Amathol'amnyama having last suffered their defeat at home in November 2015, thanks to the great support shown by the Bucks faithful.

Former PSL-side AmaZulu head into Saturday's encounter on the back of an away win to Cape Town All Stars and will surely serve as a great test, having their sights set on outright promotion.

Leading the Usuthu attack will be the evergreen Siyabonga Nomvethe who will be looking to make it three goals in three consecutive matches, while the Bucks defence will look for another sterling perform, having managed to keep out the Witbank Spurs attack in our previous encounter.

A crunch encounter will surely be on the cards with both sides yet to find themselves on the losing side in previous encounters, which ended in draws last season (0-0 Mthatha Stadium) (1-1 Princess Magogo Stadium)

Team News

There is some great news in that two of Amathol’amnyama’s leading strikers are available again. Andile Njokweni (pictured above) is back from injury, while Petrus Ngebo could make his first start of the campaign after having been suspended.

Sihle Maso however remains sidelined with a groin strain and could be out for another two weeks.
