Bucks looking to take down Eagles
19 May 2016

Mthatha Bucks will be set on ending the season on a winning note when they square up to Royal Eagles at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.

The match in Pietermaritzburg kicks off at 3pm and will be covered live on the club's official social media platforms.

Amathol’amnyama go into the game having secured their NFD status for another season after beating Highlands Park 1-0 at home last weekend.

That win took Bucks up to 11th spot on the table, five points clear of the relegation zone.

Having stopped Highlands Park's hopes of winning the league, Bucks now face an Eagles side that just dropped out of the running for a play-off spot after a draw and two defeats in their last two matches.

Amathol’amnyama meanwhile are unbeaten in their last four outings with two wins and two draws.

The first round fixture ended in a 1-0 win to the KZN side.

* Brown Khumalo will be unavailable for the game as he has been given bereavement leave to attend his mother's funeral.

** Mlungisi Maranti is also out, the goalkeeper being given time to recover from the head injury he suffered last weekend against Highlands Park.
