Bucks in double signing boost
15 April 2016
Mthatha Bucks have received a significant boost to the run in to the end of the season with the signings of former Bafana Bafana striker Petros Ngebo and former Chippa United winger Philani Dlamini.
The pair both signed three month deals and will be available for selection for Sunday’s match away at Black Leopards, 3pm kick off.
Both men last played for Royal Eagles, and before that, Chippa United.
Ngebo first made a name for himself at Bloemfontein Celtic, then going on to play for SuperSport United, earning himself call-ups to the senior national team in the process. He also played for Free State Stars in the PSL, while in the NFD, Ngebo helped Chippa United win promotion, also having a spell with Blackburn Rovers.
The 32-year-old Ngebo will add to coach Velile Dyaloyi’s options up front, the Koppies (Free State)-born marksman expected to bring power and clinical finishing to the Amathol’amnyama front line.
Dlamini, who helped Chippa win promotion to the PSL in 2011/ 2012, is an individual full of skill and trickery, who will be tasked with helping to set up goals for the strikers, while also chipping in himself with some goals. Still only 24, the speedy winger will be hungry to make an impact on the NFD once more.
We wish the two all the best with Amathol’amnyama!
In other team news ahead of the Leopards game, Sibusiso Hlubi serves the last match of his ban after a red card against Vasco da Gama last month. Striker Moses Spandeel is still in rehabilitation for an injured ankle.
