No respite for luckless Bucks
7 November 2015

Mthatha Bucks were left empty handed after Royal Eagles claimed all three points from their NFD clash at the Mthatha Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

On an overcast afternoon in the Eastern Cape, it was evenly balanced opening 10 minutes, with half chances for both sides.

Bucks suffered an early blow when they conceded on 20 minutes after concede as Sandile Kubheka capitilised on a rebound to put the KZN side in front.

In the 35th minute, Sifiso Ntjolo fired in a well-struck free kick, but Siya Mngoma made a great save for Eagles.

The experienced Moses Spandeel replaced Luzuko Dipha for the second half, and Spandeel was soon leading the Bucks attack with venom, only to find his way to goal blocked not once, but twice, by the impressive Mngoma, when goals had seemed inevitable.

In the end the home side could just not find the goal they needed to get back into the game; its back to the drawing board now as Amathol'amnyama go into a two week break before their next match - away to Mbombela United on November 22.
